Flash-Based Web Development

Almost 95% of todays browsers have the Flash plug-in installed. As a result, Flash media is often the best way to deliver rich content across a variety of browsers and OS platforms. Many of the most popular Internet sites, including YouTube and Google Video, rely on Flash technology to deliver their products.

We will be the first to tell you that Flash may not always the the best option for designing an entire web site. However, if your site needs to incorporate video, audio, animation, or interactive features, Flash can reach the widest audience while keeping bandwidth usage to a minimum.

Imagine the possibilities. Technology companies can provide outstanding technical support. Media companies can offer samples of their products without worrying about piracy. Educational institutions can add the power of multimedia to their training materials.

Using its native language (Actionscript), a web-based Flash application can interact with its web environment by passing variables out to and in from PHP and JavaScript pages. Flash can even interface with a variety of dynamic data sources, including databases and XML documents.
